Professional Counseling Corporation Information
Instructions for applying to be a Professional Counseling Corporation
- Review the Professional
Corporation Act – Chapter
55 B
- Please note that the professional(s) must be Licensed Professional
Counselor(s) in the State of North Carolina for our Board to
register the corporation.
- Complete and submit a Professional
Counseling Corporation Application to the Board's office along with a $50 application
fee.
- Once an application is received and
approved a Certificate of Application will be returned to the
applicant for filing with the Secretary of State. (This
is not a certificate of registration).
- After the
Secretary of State has issued an approved Articles of Incorporation,
a copy of such reflecting the Secretary of State’s seal
must be sent to the Board’s office.
- Upon
receipt of approved Articles of Incorporation, a Certificate
of Registration will be issued to the applicant.
A corporation organized for the rendering of professional
counseling services is not validly operating if it has not first
received this certificate of registration from our Board.
Professional Corporations renew their Certificates of Registration
prior to the 31st of December each year with a $25 renewal fee. Notices
are sent a minimum of sixty days prior to expiration.
